By accessing or using ShiftTools at shifttools.in, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue using our tools immediately.
ShiftTools provides free, browser-based micro-utilities, including file transfers (Shiftdrop), encrypted rooms (Chatter), image resizer, background remover, video converter, audio converter, watermark tool, QR code generator, crypto live charts, and PDF e-signer & PKI validator.
All tool execution occurs locally within your browser client. We do not host user files on cloud servers.
ShiftTools requires no registration, username, password, or subscription fee. Access is immediate, anonymous, and unrestricted.
You agree to use ShiftTools lawfully and responsibly. You agree NOT to:
You retain full, exclusive ownership rights to all files, media, images, documents, and content processed using ShiftTools. ShiftTools claims no intellectual property rights or ownership interest over any user content.
ShiftTools utilizes WebAssembly (WASM) and HTML5 Canvas technology that runs on your local CPU and GPU. Complex tasks (such as batch video encoding or high-resolution AI background removal) may consume significant local memory and processor capacity. ShiftTools is not responsible for device slowdowns or browser crashes resulting from heavy local processing.
ShiftTools is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted tool availability, complete error-free execution, or suitability for critical business purposes.
In no event shall ShiftTools or its creators be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website, including data loss or file corruption during conversion.
ShiftTools is open source. The source code is publicly available on GitHub. You are free to inspect, fork, and learn from the codebase under its open source license.
Contributions via pull request are welcome. By submitting code, you agree your contribution may be incorporated into the project and distributed under the same terms.
Your use of ShiftTools is also governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference. The summary: we collect nothing, store nothing, and track nothing. All tool processing happens on your device.
ShiftTools is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We do not guarantee any specific uptime, availability SLA, or uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, Cloudflare outages, or deployments.
Tool features may be added, modified, or removed at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any inconvenience caused by feature changes or downtime.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from your use of ShiftTools shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Tamil Nadu, India. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
We may update these Terms at any time to reflect changes in our service or applicable law. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of ShiftTools after any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
