Terms of Service

1 Acceptance and Eligibility

By using ShiftTools you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a legally binding agreement in your country.

2 The Service

ShiftTools offers browser-based utilities. Most run locally on your device. A few features use servers or third parties: contact forms with email verification, the URL Shortener, Shiftdrop, Chatter, the MS Store Downloader, and Crypto Live Radar. We may add, change or remove tools at any time.

3 Your Responsibility for Files and Results

Local tools depend on your device, browser, memory and processor, so large files may fail or produce errors. Always keep backups of your originals and check outputs before relying on them. Results from calculators, converters and analyzers are provided as a convenience and may be inaccurate.

4 Your Content

You keep all rights to your files and data. We do not claim ownership of them. For features that store data on our systems (such as short links), you give us a limited licence to store, display and redirect that data only to run the feature. You are responsible for having the rights to anything you process, share or link to.

5 Acceptable Use & Statutory Due Diligence

ShiftTools operates as an intermediary under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000. In accordance with Rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, you agree and undertake that you shall not host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, store, update, or share any information that:

• Belongs to another person and to which you do not have any legal right or license;
• Is obscene, pornographic, pedophilic, invasive of another's privacy, insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, or promotes money laundering or gambling;
• Is harmful to child or minors in any manner;
• Infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, or other proprietary intellectual property rights;
• Deceives or misleads the recipient about the origin of the message, or communicates phishing, deceptive links, or scams (including through the URL Shortener);
• Impersonates another person or entity;
• Contains software viruses, malware, trojans, worms, spyware, or any computer code designed to interrupt, destroy, limit, or compromise the functionality of any computer resource;
• Threatens the unity, integrity, defense, security, or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign states, public order, or causes incitement to any cognizable offense;
• Violates any applicable municipal, state, national, or international law for the time being in force.

Enforcement & Abuse Reporting: For tools with stored records (such as the URL Shortener), we reserve the right to disable, block, or delete any reported abusive short link from our database without notice. For direct peer-to-peer tools (Shiftdrop and Chatter), connections are ephemeral, private, and unmonitored; ShiftTools has no technical access to inspect, monitor, decrypt, or moderate room communications. 6 URL Shortener

Short links may expire or be removed at any time, including when inactive or reported, even if you choose "permanent." We may disable any link without notice. We do not control or endorse destination sites. You are solely responsible for the destinations you shorten.

7 Shiftdrop and Chatter

These tools connect users directly. We do not monitor, store or moderate shared files, messages or voice, and we cannot recover or delete them. You are solely responsible for who you connect with and what you send. Other participants may see your display name and network address. Do not open files or links from people you don't trust.

8 Microsoft Store Downloader

This tool is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Microsoft. It requests package links from Microsoft's services, and downloads come from Microsoft's servers. Apps remain subject to their publishers' licences and Microsoft's terms. You must have the right to download and use the software. Availability may change or stop without notice. Only run installers and commands you understand and trust.

9 Crypto Live Radar and Market Data

Market data and indicators (including RSI) are for information only and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Nothing on the Service is financial, investment or trading advice, or an offer to buy or sell any asset. Digital assets are risky and you may lose money. Make your own decisions and consult a qualified adviser. We are not a registered investment adviser or broker.

10 PDF Signer and Validator

These tools help you place signatures and inspect PDF signatures. We do not give legal advice. Whether a signature is legally valid depends on the law, the document and the certificate used. Signatures made with self-generated or test certificates are not trusted certificates. The tools do not replace certificates from a licensed certifying authority, Aadhaar eSign, or notarization. Validation results are informational only.

11 Security, Privacy and Compliance Tools

The Password Generator, EXIF Scrubber, HAR Sanitizer, QR tools and similar utilities are helpers, not guarantees. Metadata removal and pattern-based redaction may miss data. Review outputs before sharing them, and scan any QR code or link from an unknown source with care. Nothing on the Service guarantees anonymity, security, or compliance with any law or standard.

12 AI and Media Tools

AI tools (such as background removal) may be inaccurate. They use third-party models under their own licences. You are responsible for having the rights to the images and media you process and for how you use the results.

13 RF and Technical Calculators

Calculators such as the Satellite LNB tool give estimates for general reference. Verify values against manufacturer and operator specifications before installing equipment.

14 Third-Party Services, Links and Ads

The Service relies on providers such as Cloudflare, Resend, Google and market-data sources, and may show advertisements. We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, advertisers or their content. Product and company names mentioned are trademarks of their owners and are used for identification only.

15 Our Intellectual Property

The ShiftTools name, logo, design, text and original code belong to us or our licensors. Open-source components remain under their own licences. You may use the Service for its intended purpose but may not copy, resell or scrape it except as the law allows.

16 Copyright and Content Complaints

If you believe content or a short link on the Service infringes your rights or is unlawful, email [email protected] with your contact details, a description of the content and its URL, and why you object. We will review it and may remove content or disable links.

17 Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these Terms.

18 Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or uninterrupted or error-free operation, to the extent permitted by law.

19 Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, business, or device damage arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to INR 1,000. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law or your mandatory consumer rights.

20 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, your dealings with other users, or your breach of these Terms or the law.

21 Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or block access, remove content or links, or stop the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe these Terms are breached or to protect the Service or others. You may stop using the Service at any time.

22 Changes

We may update these Terms or the Service. The "Last updated" date shows the current version. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

23 Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first to try to resolve any dispute informally. If that fails, the competent courts in India have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have under local law.

25 General

If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
